TWO // Shopping is hard

[ Today we find our intrepid Raptori pirate, still in his too-big borrowed clothes, around the shops in town. Namely the clothing shops, since giving up limbs or memories at the post office in exchange for clothes that actually fit doesn't seem like much of a fair trade to him.

Every time he enters a shop, though, he is quickly chased out by the drones therein, usually wielding brooms or rolled newspapers. Sometimes he's hauled bodily out of the store, while the drone scolds him and tells him "no dogs allowed".

It's becoming very frustrating. ]

[ Later, after some fumbling, a phone call goes out to the town: ]

Ah, hello? How do you tell if this blasted thing is working?

If anyone can hear me, I am in dire need of a tailor. I've just discovered that shopping is quite impossible if this place has decided you're a "pet", and frankly, nothing around this house fits me.

[ there's a thoughtful pause ]

I don't suppose anyone knows where I can get a sword, hm? I feel more naked without my weapon than I do without my clothes.

((ooc; Run into him on the street or talk to him on the phone, whichever!))

Let's just meet up outside the store! You can't miss me; I'm the obvious genius prodigy. . . . If you really won't be able to tell though, I'll be the kid wearing mage robes.

[Palom is waiting there already impatiently.]

Green guy! Over here! . . . Gee, they put you down as a pet? That's kinda weird.

[Palom has been drifting in the general direction of the front door to the clothes shop as they talk.]

The plan is, you watch from outside and I take care of things.

[That said, he darts inside. What happens next is a little unclear, but Ian will probably at least catch the blinding flashes of light and then the sudden disappearance of every drone in the store.

. . . If he enters, he may wonder why there are so many frogs all over the place.]

Done!

[Palom beams.]

I know. Let me know when you're done, and I'll change 'em back.

You know, I get that a lot.

[As Ian steps out the door, Palom pokes his head in and shoots out some sparks. The animals all return to their normal forms in a swirl of magic.]

Got what you need? 10 bucks, please!

((Because I am a stupidhead, Palom may have turned them into pigs instead of frogs. I currently can't remember if he regained Toad, but I know he regained Pig last time. Doesn't really matter, though.))
